UI Quest.png Quest Description

The shrine that Shouta has been giving sincere offerings to has stopped giving him replies. He seeks you out for aid...

(Talk to Shouta)
Shouta: Ugh... This isn't good...
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg What's the matter?
Shouta: Nosotros gave two offerings to the shrine, correct? Even so, the deity hasn't responded to me yet.
Shouta: I went to take a look, and offerings weren't there anymore...
Shouta: But when we went in that location the offset time, the deity granted a part of my wish afterward accepting my offerings...
Shouta: So, I was thinking... Someone... Or something might've stolen the offerings earlier the deity could accept them.
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg That's a possibility.
Shouta: If that's the case, and then I'yard in trouble. I might not be able to give offerings again...
Shouta: If I'1000 as well persistent with my wishes, even deities will grow impatient.
Shouta: Please help me! Please come with me to the shrine outside the urban center and have a look!
(Approaching the Treasure Hoarders)
Paimon: Are they... Treasure Hoarders? Why are they here...
Paimon: Could they exist the ones stealing the offerings?
(Later defeating the Treasure Hoarders)
Shouta: You lot thieves! The deity isn't replying to me considering you stole all my offerings!
Sarcastic Treasure Hoarder: Offerings? Are y'all talking about the things that were placed beside the shrine? Delight, we wouldn't want those things fifty-fifty if you gifted them to us!
Sarcastic Treasure Hoarder: Also, if you're offering that kind of rubbish to the shrine, it'd be funny if the deity replied to y'all at all!
Shouta: Wh—What did you say!? My offerings aren't rubbish!
Sarcastic Treasure Hoarder: Forget it, we don't have the time to play around with y'all!
The Treasure Hoarders flee the scene...
Shouta: M—My offerings aren't rubbish...
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg Tin y'all tell us your wishes?
Shouta: Fine... Since things have turned out similar this, I approximate my wish won't be granted anyhow...
Shouta: My two wishes are simple. My kickoff wish is that I don't desire to take exams anymore! If I don't take to accept exams, so I won't be scolded.
Shouta: The other one is... I wish that the meanie at school will cease bullying me...
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg I also dislike exams.
Shouta: Correct! Exams are dreadful... Merely that meanie makes me fifty-fifty more uncomfortable...
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg Meanie?
Shouta: She'south a person that'southward in my class. Sh—she's totally unreasonable!
Shouta: She saw me many times while I was making a wish at the shrine. When she overheard me maxim I don't desire to take exams, she went to my teachers and asked for my results.
Shouta: From then on, she'd ever tell me that my time is better spent paying attention in class rather than praying to a shrine. She also said if I'm that naggy, even deities volition get impatient.
Shouta: She even said that I'm existence... really pathetic.
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg Well, it's not good to depend on the deity likewise much.
Shouta: Simply when the adults face hardship, they always brand offerings at the shrine...
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg They're only making a wish.
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg In the end, they still have to solve their issues themselves.
Shouta: Hmm... I don't get information technology... I idea anybody gave offerings to the shrines to enquire for the god's help?
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg Let'south go enquire someone else.
Shouta: Hmmm... Okay. Either way, my wishes won't be granted now...
(Talk to Kouichi)
Kouichi: Hello, what tin I help you with?
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg Most the offerings at the shrine...
Kouichi: Oh... The shrines... I've been at that place a few times as well.
Kouichi: Hehe, I want the deity's blessings and so that later on I grow upwardly, I can go to the exterior world and see what information technology'due south similar.
Kouichi: However, at the end of the 24-hour interval, the offerings are only a class of prayer. I still need to piece of work hard.
Kouichi: My parents told me if I want to travel, I must earn enough money get-go...
Shouta: Yeah, every bit long every bit y'all accept the deity's blessings, your dreams will come true!
Kouichi: I tin can't say that for sure. After all, if I really did go to the outside world, I don't remember Inazuma'southward deities would be able to protect me.
Kouichi: My parents used to say that giving offerings to the deities is just getting some peace of mind. If you want to fulfill your wishes, and so it yet depends on how much difficult work you put in.
Kouichi: I can't really explicate things that well. If you lot guys want to know more, and then have a talk with Nanatsuki. She's quite knowledgeable in these things.
Shouta: Hmm... C'mon, permit's get find Nanatsuki...
(Talk to Yayoi Nanatsuki)
Yayoi Nanatsuki: Shouta? Why do yous look then upset? Did someone bully yous?
Shouta: Nanatsuki, you must know how everyone in the city gives offerings to the shrine to ask for blessings from the deities, correct?
Shouta: As long as we put our heart into our offerings and brand information technology so that the deities have a reason to reply, so any wish tin can be granted... correct?
Yayoi Nanatsuki: Huh? Why are you mentioning this all of a sudden... did something happen?
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg Information technology's like this...
The Traveler recounts the events to Yayoi Nanatsuki...
Yayoi Nanatsuki: Shouta... You went so eagerly to the shrine because of something similar this...
Shouta: Yup! I wholeheartedly gave my offerings to the deity. Yet, those offerings kept on getting stolen... I thought the deity would blame me for this and won't lookout man over me anymore...
Yayoi Nanatsuki: Silly kid... Don't worry, that deity won't get mad at y'all for something small like this...
Shouta: Re—really? That's good...
Yayoi Nanatsuki: But in the same way, that deity probably won't assist someone just because of some offerings.
Shouta: Eh?
Yayoi Nanatsuki: The reason people give offerings and ask for blessings isn't that they want their wish to exist granted. Rather, those people gave their offerings to build a firm base for their conviction.
Shouta: Confidence?
Yayoi Nanatsuki: "Every bit we've already told our wishes to the deity, we must try our best to make those wishes come true."
Yayoi Nanatsuki: "With the deity watching over u.s.a., if we put in the attempt, we'll succeed for sure."
Yayoi Nanatsuki: With that kind of confidence, people are then willing to give it their all to fulfill their wishes. That'south the reason why everyone gives offerings to the shrines.
Yayoi Nanatsuki: At the end of the 24-hour interval... It'southward people that movement the world. If we pray to deities and take no action, even if a deity wanted to aid, it still won't know what it should exercise.
Shouta: B-but when I gave offerings to the shine [sic] earlier, that deity always directly helped me!
Shouta: That fourth dimension with the fire, that mister who wanted to become stronger, and that comic book of mine...
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg (He's still talking nearly the deities...)
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg (They are on completely different wavelengths...)
Yayoi Nanatsuki: Hmmm... You're right. It seems like that deity has a direct way of fulfilling wishes.
Shouta: Only, but... Not only did the exams not disappear, simply that bully is still there. She nevertheless nags me every solar day about doing my schoolhouse work...
Yayoi Nanatsuki: Hmm, expect a minute. That person who's bullying you lot, what's her name? When did she appear?
Shouta: She... She's... called... eh? What'due south her proper name again...
Shouta: I think she entered school at the same time as me... No, no, I think a bit before... or was it later?
Shouta: Weird... Why can't I retrieve anything? The merely thing that I can remember is a daughter telling me to study...
Yayoi Nanatsuki: Hmmm, information technology seems like that deity has responded to your wishes again, and is currently helping you conquer your dislike for exams.
Shouta: You mean that girl? The one who bullies me all the time? The deity sent her to forcefulness me to report!?
Shouta: Noooo! I don't desire to report, I don't want to have exams!
Shouta: Waaaah! She's hither again. She'south right over there. She's coming over from the other side of the street!
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg Where?
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg I can't encounter anything.
Shouta: Tin can't you encounter her!? She's coming over with a huge pile of examination papers! Waaah! I don't wanna have an exaaaam!
Shouta turns, panics, and runs...
Yayoi Nanatsuki: It seems like that deity is very dedicated.
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg That deity does things at its own pace...
Icon Dialogue Talk.svg It doesn't experience like something a deity would practice...
Yayoi Nanatsuki: Withal, under that deity'due south personal supervision, that kid should be able to successfully pass his exams.
Yayoi Nanatsuki: After all, I guess even deities tin't stand up that child's constant nagging...
Yayoi Nanatsuki: Huh? Look. Why are there leaves on the road? They weren't hither before...
